In the name of God Amen, I Thomas Elborn of Little Shelford in the county of Cambridge, Carrier, being very sick and weak in body but thanks be to God of a sound and disposing mind and memory, do make this my last will and testament in manner and from following: First I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Mary Elborn all my Goods Chattels and personal Estate whatsoever – I also give to may said wife Mary Elborn during the term of her natural life all my lands, tenements and hereditaments with all their appurtenances lying and being situate in the parish of Little Shelford to enjoy the same during her life or so long as she shall continue my widow, and after her decease – I give the same to my eldest son Richard Elborn, his heirs and assigns, he being subject to the payment of Five pounds of good and lawful money, at twelve months after my decease to e ach of my seven other children (viz) William, John, Thomas and James Elborn, Ann Everitt, Elizabeth Barker and Mary Elborn. Also I constitute and appoint my said wife Mary Elborn sole Executrix of this my last will and testament made by me this Twenty Sixth day of August in the year of our Lord One Thousand Eight hundred and sixteen.

The third day of March in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and thirty two.
On which day appeared personally Amey Elborn of Great Shelford in the County of Cambridge, Widow and made oath that she is the Widow and Relict of Thomas Elborn formerly of Little Shelford in the said County of Cambridge, Carrier and late of Great Shelford aforesaid Victualler, deceased who died on the eighteenth day February last, and that he made and published his last Will and Testament in writing bearing date the twenty sixth day of August in the year one thousand eight hundred and sixteen and there by gave and bequeathed to Mary Elborn then his wife all his Goods, Chattels and personal Estate whatsoever and constituted and appointed her sole Executrix of his said Will and that the said Mary Elborn departed this life in the lifetime of the said Testator. Wherefore the said Amey Elborn prayed that administration of all and singular the Goods, Chattels and Credits of the said Thomas Elborn deceased with his said Will annexed might be committed and granted to her the said Amey Elborn as the Widow and Relict of the said Thomas Elborn deceased and the said Amey Elborn further made oath that the Goods, Chattels and Credits late of the said Thomas Elborn deceased do not amount in value to the sum of One hundred Pounds.
